“A Technophile’s Indulgence” is my personal project, updated somewhere between fortnightly and monthly (depending on how much spare time I have) with news and articles on technology, both new and historical, along with reviews on computer games, cinema and technologically-related current affairs.
My name is Richard Kiernan and I am a Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Information Systems and Information Technology at the Dublin Institute of Technology, and previously studied Medicinal Chemistry at Trinity College, Dublin. My hobbies, as should be evident from the contents of this site, include computer technology, video gaming, motor racing, watching movies, reading in multiple genres, including non-fiction and fiction, politics, current affairs and history, among others. I do not claim outright dominion over most of the subjects that interest me; any blatant errors should be brought to my attention.
You have a neat blog, I hope you keep posting! I was recently reading your post about the EDSAC (I was interested in some of the processing/speed statistics) and it was very informative.
